2019 is turning out to be quite the year for us – March has been an exciting month for us and an award-winning one too! Last Thursday we headed over to Nottingham for the East Midlands Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Celebrating Small Business Awards 2019 after being shortlisted in two categories.

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that we scooped the Family Business of the Year award for the second year running as well as the Community Business of the Year award (area only).

This award win comes after a series of success for us at the Elite - earlier this year our Sleaford restaurant became one of only two restaurants in Lincolnshire to be presented with the Healthier Options Award and we also had our own chapter featured in the prestigious Book of Amazing People!

As many of you will know, last year we celebrated our 30^th anniversary year and as part of the celebrations we committed to a £30,000 fundraising campaign to be split equally between three charities which all have a close connection to the Elite.

We wouldn’t have won these awards without the hardwork of all our dedicated staff - and it goes without saying that we wouldn’t have been able to reach our ambitious £30,000 fundraising target without the generosity of our loyal customers, who always show us their full support for worthy causes. To have our fundraising efforts recognised with the Community Business of the Year Award is the icing on the cake for us!

As regional winners of the Family Business of the Year, we’ll be heading to the glittering UK final on Thursday 23^rd May at Battersea Evolution, where the UK category winners and FSB Business of the Year 2019 will be announced.

It was an honour to attend the East Midlands area awards ceremony and we’d like to extend our congratulations to all the winners and all those that were shortlisted. We can’t wait for the national final in London in May – keep your fingers crossed for us!

In honour of our 30^th anniversary we’ve been on a mission to raise £30,000 as part of our year-long fundraising campaign for our three charities of the year. All funds raised will be split equally between The RAF Association, the RNLI and Sleaford Dementia Support Group.
