The Elite On The Bail Takes Shape!

6th August, 2019

As most of you will have heard by now, we’re opening a brand new restaurant and takeaway in Lincoln’s historic Bailgate – and the refurbishment process has begun!

Our new business venture – The Elite On The Bail – is set to be a high-quality fish and chip restaurant and takeaway, which will also serve a varied seafood menu on certain days of the week, granting us the perfect opportunity to showcase the fantastic seafood on offer from around the shores of Britain.

The Elite On The Bail, which some of you will know as the former Lloyds bank on the Bailgate, will be offering traditional fish and chips in both our 80-cover restaurant and the takeaway, which will be accessible from a separate entrance on St Paul’s Lane.

It has taken a lot of work to get to this point, but we are delighted with how quickly we have made progress. Even though we’re still in the early stages of the project, the recent renovations are looking impressive and the whole space is really coming together. The upstairs restaurant features beautiful bay windows that overlook Lincoln cathedral – and we think this seating area will be hugely popular with customers.

Taylor Lindsey, who own and have refurbished the building, have been fantastic in helping us to achieve our goals and we are now working with them to plan the next stage of the project. The subsequent phase is going to be one of the most exciting; during the next 12 weeks The Elite On The Bail will undergo a fit-out process to transform the space into an upmarket restaurant and takeaway.

It’s been a pleasure to work with the team from Taylor Lindsey on this project who are all just as excited as we are to see the finished result. The team have already told us that they’re hoping to be amongst the first to sample the delicious dishes on our menu – and we can’t wait to welcome them.

Now that renovations are well under way, we’re recruiting for some new fish friers to come and join our brand new team. The ideal candidates will have some catering experience, must be able to work in a high-pressure environment and must be flexible (able to work weekends).

If you’d like to work in Lincoln’s historic Bailgate with beautiful views of the cathedral and think you’re the right person for this job, please send your CV and a covering letter to elitefishandchips@gmail.com before 5pm on Friday 30th August.

The successful applicants will be trained at our Lincoln restaurant and takeaway on Tritton Road before transferring their skills to the Bailgate restaurant and takeaway when it opens later this year.

Ahead of our official opening, we’ll also be recruiting for 16 full-time staff members and 24 part-time staff members to work in the restaurant and takeaway – we’ll be releasing more details about these positions soon.

To keep up to date with our progress and announcements around our official opening, make sure you’re following us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
