Following on from our spectacular 30^th anniversary celebrations last month, the good news just keeps on coming… We’re thrilled to announce that our Sleaford restaurant has just been named as one of the Top 20 in the UK (and the only one in Lincolnshire) for fish and chips!

This means that we’ll now compete for a ‘plaice’ in the final of the 2019 National Fish & Chip Awards as semi-finalists in The Best Fish & Chip Restaurant category.

To reach this stage of the competition, our Sleaford restaurant was carefully assessed against a range of judging criteria, which considered everything from menu development to staff training, marketing and promotional activity.

2018 is turning out to be quite the year for us – and we’re hoping that if we make it through the next stage of judging, 2019 will be too. As many of you will know, this year marks our 30^th anniversary year and for us there will be no better way to end it than with the title of the UK’s best fish and chip restaurant. Keep your fingers crossed for us on 24^th January – that’s when the UK’s best fish and chip restaurant will be announced, at the National Fish and Chip Awards’ 31^st anniversary, at a ceremony in London.  

Don’t forget, we’re aiming to fundraise £30,000 for three different charities throughout 2018 including: The RAF Association, the RNLI and Sleaford Dementia Support. If you have any spare change, don’t forget to pop some into our fundraising buckets at any of the Elite outlets!
